Best Of The East - Full Day (Monday or Tuesday) Faro, Olhão, Sta. Luzia, Tavira & Cacela Velha We start by visiting the capital of the Algarve...Faro. A coffee break followed by a visit to the "Chapel of Bones". We the proceed to Olhão to visit a traditional Portuguese fish market one of the largest in the region. Passing through Sta. Luzia a picturesque river side village on the way to Tavira....the town of churches. Here we have free time to explore and break for lunch. Upon our return we stop at what must be one of the most beautiful villages Cacela Velha, a great photo opotunity. We then take a slow winding drive to the foothills of Monchique passing through some beautiful countryside. With a stop at Caldas the Spa village, then onto Foia the highest point in the Algarve...On a clear day you can see for miles. Once making our way back down Monchique, we stop at a handicraft shop of your choice. You'll get a real chance to test your bartering skills at this Gypsy Market. We then drive you into the interior to Querença, a beautiful village...where you can have a real feast of traditional Portuguese cuisine (lunch not included). We guarantee you won't find food or views like this in any tourist resort! After lunch we take a gentle drive into the hills where you will have several opptunities to take some stunning photographs.
